It’s All Coming Back (part 2): Dubsaharan Tales of the Unexpected…

I spent the afternoon looking for Alex Grey and missed (almost) an entire performance by a group of Hungarian belly dancers who had performed to a live set by Dubsahara aka Greg Hunter at the Ozora Festival.

My adventures had taken me to the other side of the festival to Chambok House, where I stumbled upon a conference on psytrance culture. You can read more about that right here

So Alex was nowhere to be found. But I managed to escape the conference and return to the Chill Out half stressed, half excited. I had just missed (what I heard was) a spectacular performance by the belly dancing troupe, Attraktiv Kollektiva.

They stood around the backstage area glittering like goddesses; basking in the afterglow of their dance performance. It was thanks to Miquette – who almost sent me flying into their bosoms  – that I managed to charm them into giving another performance. Thankfully, Greg was still on stage, so the video also includes some decent audio of his live set.

I caught up with members of Attraktiv Kollektiva afterwards. In this video, they share a few words about their performance and their connection with Greg Hunter and Dubsahara. I’ll be posting my interview with Greg  for Radio Ozora at a later stage as we continue with more Dubsaharan Tales of the Unexpected…
